Full Time swing shift position available for a Maintenance Engineer



Shriners Hospitals for Children Northern California, the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury and pediatric subspecialties medical center, has an opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join our Facilities team.

Position Description:

Maintains, repairs and troubleshoots electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, according to established procedures and guidelines. Maintains and repairs boilers, chillers, heat pumps, electrical, plumbing, gas, generator, fire pump, steam, DDC, and pneumatic systems. Repairs portable and stationary machinery and appliances. Uses hand and power tools, including cutting and threading tools, grinders, reamers, wrenches, welders, saws, and other special tools. Makes carpentry repairs to doors, windows, floors and other parts of buildings. Does painting as required.

Requirements:

Must have the ability to troubleshoot, repair, regulate, and control electrical, plumbing, HVAC equipment, portable equipment, DDC, pneumatics; read and comprehend schematics, blue prints, and shop drawings and accurately determines time and materials required for a job. Must have a Universal CFC license. Requires 5 years of industrial experience or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program. Healthcare experience preferred.
