You'll feel proud of the work you do, knowing you're helping others in a profound way.The Medical Office Scheduler is responsible for providing excellent patient service care via telephone, maintaining patient database, and scheduling appointments.Class starts November 30. Training is for approximately 4-5 weeks, 9a CST to 5p CST and remote, with 100% attendance required for the entire training period ( meaning no appointments or vacations). Production schedules are full-time. The hours are 9a-10a range cst to 5:30p-6:30p range cst with Su and We off or split shifts of 8a-12p cst and then 4:30p-8:30p cst Mo-Fr or 9a-1p cst and then 4:30p-8:30p cst , Mo-Fr. This is a 24/7 program. Our Woodstone office is located 11845 I-10 W, Suite 102 San Antonio, TX 78230. This is a training and work from home position.* Pay: $12 - $14 per hour* Weekend shift differential: $2.50 per hour between the hours of 12a Saturday and 11:59p on Sunday* Overnight differential: $1.50 during the week from 12a-6a* Schedule Compliance Differential: $1.00 per hour when working 95% of schedule each month* Bilingual differential: $.50 per hourDuties and Responsibilities included but not limited to:* Answers high volume of calls; transfers and directs calls; provides exceptional customer service via telephone* Responsible for all front office patient coordination; to be completed in a timely manner (e.g. appointment scheduling, transport coordination)* Communicates clearly and effectively (both oral and written) with patients, clients, Team Members, peers and Leadership.* Accurately inputs data into both Carenet and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) databases* Answers all inquiries from patients, customers and third party vendors; provides clinic directions / hours of operation* Contacts health plans and verifies patient insurance information* Demonstrates the ability to multi-task; simultaneously listening, talking, reading and typing* Detailed oriented* Must be experienced enough to toggle between 6, 8 or even 10 programs* Learn in a group setting remotely* Will need to type a MINIMUM of 40 wpmEducation* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) requiredExperience* Bilingual - fluent in conversational Spanish, with the ability to read and write a plus.* Minimum of 1 year medical office scheduling or hospital scheduling experience, preferably within the past 3 years* Minimum of 1 year Electronic Medical records (EMR) system experience preferably within the past 3 years* Medical clerical experience or Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) a plus if experienced with front office workWork from Home Requirements* You will use your own computer/laptop* but must meet all the specifications.
