Client Service Executive Manufacturing, Quality Engineering & Assurance


We are seeking a Client Service Executive (CSE) to join our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) Team in North America to grow our BU's footprint. The CSE role is strategic and offers the candidate a unique opportunity to drive business growth working alongside senior leaders including Client Partners and Practice Leaders.


In this role, candidate will be working with Manufacturing & Logistics QE&A practice leader to grow our QE&A practice and will balance client / project responsibilities with business development and sales responsibilities including identifying, qualifying and closing new business opportunities.


The Individual Will Be Expected To

  • Identify, qualify and close new business opportunities in the Quality Engineering and Assurance space. Demonstrate Cognizant's QE&A Capabilities to best addresses the current and futuristic needs of clients.

  • Nurture Client relationship and establish a Trusted Advisor stature with the Prospects and Clients as they transform their landscape from traditional QA to digital QA

  • Build strong Advisory Consultative Relationships with Senior Leadership members of the Client Organization

  • Deliver profitably the Net New Business for Cognizant through Existing and New Logos.

  • Design and drive Account Penetration Plans and maximize Cognizant Wallet share in the target accounts and Prospect logos. Provide the highest level of leadership and directions to the Project teams to deliver to their maximum Potential.

  • Contributing to the Competency development initiatives, developing GTM collaterals (Go To Market) and Other Business Development initiatives.

  • Collaborating and driving a Cognizant Unified Sales and Engagement model to the customers by seamlessly integrating and promoting other Line of Service sales initiatives along with QE&A sales

  • Represent Cognizant QE&A BU in multiple Client interactions including but not limited to (a) Business Review Meetings (b) Key Opportunities meetings (c) Escalation Meetings (d) Client Planning & Budgeting Meetings and (e) Any client meetings to which Cognizant QE&A Commercial Teams get engaged with.

  • Lead the Business Development efforts for new opportunities as presented. This includes

  • Leading the Solution Design, Value articulation and Pricing for all Opportunities presented in the form of RFPs / RFIs / Pro-active Proposals

  • Playing the Deal Owner for multiple deals

  • Leading Client Interactions during Deal Qualification, Proposals, Presentations, deal negotiation and Contract Management

  • Working Closely with Delivery Teams and Centers of Excellence Teams to bring together the best of Cognizant Solution, Pricing & Value Proposition for customers

  • Working Closely with Delivery, Operations and other Cognizant support functions to ramp-up and stabilize Won deals

  • Responsible for People Management of QE&A Teams and for the overall motivation and inspiration to the teams. Also involved in hiring decisions.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven Track record of winning and growing Quality Engineering & Assurance business in existing as well as New logos

  • Proven track record of successfully qualifying, pursuing and winning large, small, strategic deals

  • Experience and Expertise in the subject Matter areas related to Quality Engineering and Assurance space as listed below but not limited to:

    • Quality Engineering (QE)

    • Either have deep understanding and/or hands on experience of agile methodologies including DevOps pipelines and pod functioning, system architecture, databases, web services

    • Quality Assurance Process areas such as Test Management, Defect Management, Metrics Management, Estimation, Test Design, Test Execution

    • Technology Assurance & Digital Assurance areas such as Mobility Testing, Data Analytics, Cloud Assurance, AI/ML, IoT Testing, Robotics, Performance Testing, Security Testing, Test Automation, Cross Browser Compatibility Testing

    • Awareness of the Industry Tools and Products leveraged by clients for QE&A function including CI/CD, Automation, Performance, Security, Test Management, Defect Management, Configuration Management

    • On-Demand Testing and Crowd sourced Testing

    • Test Data Management

  • Experience working with multiple Project and Program types such as:

    • Large Transformational Programs

    • Re-engineering Projects

    • Application Modernization projects such as Lift& Shift, Lift & Extend

    • Release-based Projects

    • Waterfall, Agile and Iterative development Programs

  • Proven Subject Matter Expertise in the Industry Domain area considered as a Business expert in the Manufacturing industry

    • Proven expertise in Manufacturing domain areas supply chain, order management, sales, warranty, connected factory, IoT

    • Good to have experience on assurance strategies for SAP, Oracle, Maximo and other packages in manufacturing domain

    • Proven track record and understanding of testing and technology products in manufacturing space


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Senior executive presence proven expertise and passion toward engaging senior level executives in grasping and enabling fundamentals of business change through business consulting & technology solutions

  • Executive-level experience in the areas of resource management (financial, cost and asset), preferably with a mix of tech and business consulting

  • Excellent business communication (written and oral), presentation and facilitation skills

  • Exceptional client management track record

  • Experience in working with Vendor Management / Procurement Organizations as well as the ability to represent Quality Organization with Development Organizations, Business and VMO teams.

  • Proven track record in working collaboratively in a virtual and highly-matrixed environment particularly with highly diverse and onshore/offshore teams

  • Collaborate with Talent acquisition and workforce management teams within Cognizant to plan and meet staffing needs

  • Participate in recruitment drives and hire talent for Quality Assurance and Engineering practice

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills, particularly with highly diverse teams

  • Proven leadership qualities such as conflict/issue resolution, strategic and critical thinking and ownership
