Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Maintenance Technician will be performing diverse duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. An employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform job in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company safety and quality policies exercising independent judgment while paying close attention to detail
  • Communicate with all levels of staff
  • Work independently or as a team
  • Keep work area clean and orderly maintaining 5S standards
  • Accurately report information manually, electronically and/or verbally by answering questions from production staff
  • Perform preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on production, lifting and facility equipment
  • Locate sources of machinery problems by observing, listening, utilizing test, equipment, and PLC software and conversing with operations personnel
  • Possess and display a strong knowledge of trouble shooting skills for the following: Utilization of a PC and software to monitor PLC operations and correct equipment problems, monitor/replace AC and DC motor drives utilizing PC software, transmitters, transducers, controllers, calibration of control loops, indicators, HMI screens, guiding/steering units, temperature and volume controllers and other electronic control devices associated with production and facility
  • Must possess and display a strong knowledge of and trouble shooting skills for the following: mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, AC and DC control circuits and devices, AC and DC motors and drives, solenoids, pumps, switches, motor starters, gas analyzers, hoists, material handling equipment, and other components of production, facility, and/or material handling equipment.


This position will require:

  • Occasional short-notice call in for any shift
  • Frequent physical demands, including:
    • being able to sit, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, walk, reach, climb, crouch, push and pull, grip, pick and pinch, climb ladders and elevated platforms
    • routinely lift 50 pounds or more
    • work indoors or outdoors in all types of weather.


This position may require:

  • Weekend work.
  • Working overtime
  • Working on holidays as needed.
  • Short notice shift coverage.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of two (2) years industrial electrical or electronics experience in a private, public, government, or military environment OR Possess a Technical Degree or higher in an electrical or electronics discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with electro-mechanical troubleshooting and/or repair in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience with AC and DC electric motors and/or drives in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience repairing industrial assembly equipment, i.e. injection molding machines, stamping/forming machines, multi-axis robots, and web handling equipment
  • Experience with pneumatic pumps, gear pumps, HVAC, dampers and/or actuators in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience and knowledge in safety procedures including but not limited to, confined space entry, line opening, fall protection, lock out tag out in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Experience troubleshooting and problem solving in a manufacturing private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience installing and servicing of compressed gas, liquid piping and vacuum services in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience with installation and service of industrial wiring and components in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Basic computer knowledge to include PC component identification and troubleshooting
  • Widows office tools and PLC software
  • Complete shop records and use reporting system following established procedures as required for effective performance of the job or operation of the department
