As a Territory Manager you are Responsible for assisting in the development of Senior Product Advisors (outside B2B sales representatives) by providing the following:

  • Hands-on field support
  • Mentoring and sales process training.
  • Expert product and industry knowledge.
  • Generate on-going sales of new and existing customers and provide a localized manager presence in select areas as determined.
  • Well versed in applying HPS sales process implementation
  • Strong focus on the training and development of SPA's in the field.
  • Ability to recognize and tailor individual SPA's training needs to ensure they integrate quickly and successfully into the organization
  • The Territory Manager is expected to be out in the field training, and leading SPA's in sales transactions in addition to prospecting and closing their own new merchant accounts on an on-going basis.

Territory Sales Managers receive overrides and expense accounts based on the size and production of their team; in addition to their personal sales production compensation. It is one of the most lucrative positions at Heartland.

You will work closely with an experienced Territory Manager and Division Manager (who manages a tenured Heartland Team) during your first 30 days of employment to set appointments and close sales with local businesses. Your manager will accompany you on your initial appointments to demonstrate our short-cycle sales process using Atlas, our groundbreaking iPad technology platform for lead generation, sales presentations, on the spot client financial analyses and paperless contract processing. Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect and close new accounts consistently month after month.
  • Market additional HPS products and services as they are introduced under company guidelines
  • Hire, train and develop a winning sales team
  • Receive direction and provide all required reporting to Division Manager
  • Conduct reliable field training for Senior Product Advisor (SPA) within their first 90 days of employment or as otherwise assigned
  • Work in developing and mentoring SPA in an effort to support and achieve Division performance goals
  • Learn and understand all hardware, software and reporting offered by Heartland, and effectively communicate this information to prospects, clients and reinforce with SPAs
  • Provide consistent reinforcement of HPS selling system and demonstrate to SPA's expertise and knowledge of HPS programs
  • Assist the Division Manager with the recruitment process as directed
  • Serve as local sales manager of designated areas within division requiring specific sales support as identified by the Division Manager
