Summary DescriptionPrepares a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving food and beverages in one or more variety of food service environments. Assist in cleaning work areas. May set up, prepare food, serve food, and help with cashier, as appropriate. Responsibilities:Sets up food service, kitchen, or facilities, check food temperatures and prepare areas for daily operationsFollows prescribed procedures in setting up hot and cold foodAs appropriate, serves food to customers from counters, in accordance with specific instructionsAs needed, replenishes food, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays at serving stationsAttends day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplyClean and maintain work areasMay perform cashiering dutiesMay provide guidance and training to other employees performing related workRequirements:Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory controlAbility to follow routine verbal and written instructionsAbility to understand and follow safety proceduresKnowledge of food service lines set-up and temperature requirementsSkill in cooking and preparing a variety of foods
