+ Requisition no: 503023 + Work Type: Full Time + Location: Campus|Morningside + School/Department: null + Categories: Facilities/Maint/Trades/RealEs + Job Type: Support Staff - Union -- + Bargaining Unit: TWU - B&G + Regular/Temporary: Regular + End Date if Temporary: + Hours Per Week: 40 + Salary Range: $26.18 - $32.73 per hour Position Summary LOCATION: Floater SCHEDULE: Tuesday - Saturday, 7am - 330pm Reports to supervisor, Building Services, the Head Cleaner is responsible for the planning, assignment, control and execution of custodial work whether standard duties or special assignments. Responsibilities + Maintains communications with customer monitors job progress and conducts inspections. + Adheres to standard system schedules and routines in the allocation of assignments to his/her crew following established methods and procedures and using correct equipment, material and supplies. + Monitors and performs cleaning, dusting, wall washing, carpet shampooing, vacuuming, stripping, scrubbing, waxing and buffing of floors, rooms, offices and other interior spaces. + Observes and reports all damage, malfunctions or deficiencies of Customer Service and reports problematic conditions, safety hazards or breaches of security to supervisor of others as appropriate. + Requisitions and issues materialism supplies and equipment. + Candidates must be physically fit to do extensive walking, stairclimbing, medium lifting and carrying and overhead work. + Work schedule must include weekends. Minimum Qualifications + High school diploma or GED required. + Ability to communicate and give verbal and written instructions in English. + Ability to speak Spanish helpful. + Five years experience as a Heavy Cleaner, previous leadership and training experience. + Excellent interpersonal skills, good working knowledge of equipment and machinery operations. + Must be able to work independently.
