DUTIES:Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES is anticipating a need for a Full-Time Information Technology Staff Assistant. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:* Performs support tasks for the Director of IT including managing calendar/meetings, assisting in writing confidential memos and staff performance evaluations* Manages small-scale technology projects and maintains up-to-date lists of technology projects by receiving, logging, and reviewing project requests* Compiles monthly IT board reports, analytics/metrics reports, meeting agendas, etc.* Manages IT inventory, service contracts, plans for replacements, and oversees the acquisition/purchase process* Schedules and attends technology-related meetings, compiling meeting notes, and following-up on action items as necessary* Processes staff IT onboarding and offboarding requests, ensuring that related tasks are completed accurately by appropriate team members* Routes technical requests to appropriate staff on behalf of the Director; reports to the Director on the status of technical requests and projects* Provides basic helpdesk support (as needed) to users utilizing knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, networks, web technologies, etc* Makes website updates and/or coordinates with application developers to complete these updates after gathering technical requirements* Assists with the testing of in-house developed software applications (including OLAS Recruiting and Applicant Tracking)* Generates/reviews/analyzes department budget reports, and provides input in the budget development process* Performs other related duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS:Technologically savvy with strong skills in the MS Office suite, exceptional organizational skills, proven customer service skills, strong written/verbal communication skills, and an eagerness to learn new techniques and technologies.Candidate must possess technical ability, initiative, resourcefulness, good judgment, and the ability to think logically.
