Security Guard - Full-TimeEF International Language Campuses200 Lake StreetBoston, MAEF International Language Campuses in Boston, MA is seeking an organized, customer service-minded, and community-building oriented Security Guard that ensures the safety of the students and staff at the campus while maintaining a nurturing campus environment. Candidates should be comfortable with enforcing rules while still being able to maintain a high level of customer service.The Role* Ensure the safety of students and staff.* Enforce campus policies and procedures, which include completing and filing necessary reports and documentation.* Provide great customer service and showcase critical thinking skills.* Possess the ability to think quickly, to use good judgment, to be level-headed and reasonable, and to act responsibly in emergency and tense situations.* Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal laws.* Interact with local law enforcement in matters relating to accidents, thefts, and property loss.* Maintain logs of ins and outs of customers, visitors, contractors, and employees from a building.* Work regular security shifts, which can occur overnight.* Provide support and work with Resident Advisor staff when dealing with student incidents.Requirements* High school diploma or equivalent required. College education preferred.* Experience with managing teams and providing customer service.* Must possess a valid Guard License for your state, or have applied and subsequently be issued such a license prior to employment.* Willingness to adapt to changes in task assignments and ability to multi-task.* Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.* Strong attention to detail.* Will be required to work mornings, evening, weekends, and holidays as needed.Hours and CompensationCandidates are expected to work 40 hours a week. Exact schedule hours can be discussed, but it may require evening and night work, as well as weekend work.
