Essential Functions:Meets arriving guest as they enter the restaurant bar with cordial greeting solicits rapport in order to accommodate special needs or requests to ensure the guest receives immediate and proper attention.* Maintains a highly visible appearance in the restaurant / bar during the entire shift by remaining professional.* Periodically circulating through the restaurant and bar in order to assist the guest and to respond to any guest requests efficiently.* Elicits feedback from arriving and departing guest on products and services in order to improve the operation to increase customer base and maximize revenues.* Takes written notes in order to report comments to management.* Maintains a clean and attractive bar by assisting with vacuuming, sweeping, general cleaning and side work duties.* Immediately reports in writing any maintenance or housekeeping discrepancies to management.* Exhibits a professional appearance and maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.* Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.Job Requirements:* Stock food and service ware for buffet* Ensure tableware is in good and working condition and report any defects for repair* Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner* Requires knowledge of hotel policies, procedures and services.* One year previous customer service related experience and food and beverage background, preferably in a hotel environment will be a plus.* High school education or equivalent experience.* Ability to communicate in English.Working Conditions & Physical EffortWork is normally performed in an interior hotel environment. While performing job duties, the associate speaks, listens, completes documents, and processes verbal requests. Physical requirements include extended periods of standing and/or walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
