RegularLocation: 1221 NY - McGraw Hill - NY100Position Summary:The Security Guard will provide direct security support for the 24/7 operations within the Sirius XM New York office. The position is responsible for providing a secure and safe working environment. Under general supervision, the Security Guard will maintain plans, organize, and direct operations of the Corporate Security & Safety Department. Duties include special events, CCTV monitoring, patrol, escorts, first responder responsibilites, access control, incident reporting, and enforcement of secuirty policies and protocols.Duties and Responsibilities:Special Event Monitoring: Guards are responsible for monitoring special events via presence, observation and restriction of event to specified locations. May also include access control, screening, and escort responsibilities.CCTV Monitoring: Guards are responsible for observing the activities on SiriusXM premises via live feeds or recorded DVR in order to observe all studios and all exits.Patrol: Guards must make routine patrols of the facility for anything that looks out of the ordinary (i.e. unsafe or hazardous conditions, equipment, practices, materials). Upon completion of the patrol an entry into the security Command Log will be made.Escorts: Guards will escort celebrities, high profile guests and employees into the SiriusXM facility in a professional and courteous manner. If required, Guards will escort unwanted visitors, guests, and/or employees from the facility.Reports: Reporting is required to properly document activity by the Security Guards such as building passes, lost and found reports, and incident reports.First Responders: Guards will provide an immediate response in case of an emergency situation (i.e. fire, medical condition, bomb threat, etc.) and must have vast training in responding to all types of emergencies.Access Control: Guards are responsible for securing access to the Sirius XM facilities by controlling access points, granting access into secured areas, and verifying identification of employees when applicable.Alarm Monitoring & Notifications:Guardsmayalsomonitoralarmsandnotificationsfromthesecurity command center and respond following set procedures and protocols.Enforcement of Security Policies & Protocols: Guards will enforce all security policies and protocols in a professional manner.
