CMIT Solutions of Central Rhode Island is looking for an experienced Hospitality Help Desk Technician.This position will be based at our headquarters in Cranston, Rhode IslandWhat you will be doing* Provide immediate technical assistance to staff to resolve computer hardware and software problems either in person, via telephone or electronically.* Provide support to users in problem in problems resolution, guides user through troubleshooting procedures, and develops troubleshooting scripts.* Simulates or recreates user problems to resolve operating difficulties.* Tracks client issues and resolutions to assure satisfaction and closure; qualifies trouble tickets for escalation as appropriate.* Recommends system modification or hardware and software improvements to reduce or eliminate user problems* Performs upgrades t hardware, software, and deployment of new hardware and software technologies in compliance with internal controls, policies, and standards.The ideal candidate for this position* Four year Bachelor's degree in related field* Two to five years of previous experience in IT* Minimum two years in customer service relating to Hospitality.* Foundational understanding of IT systems and networks.* Previous support experience with property management systems including Opera, PMS, OnQ, Infor, Agilysys, Micros 3700/Symphony, Digital Dining and Aloha.* Experience with key systems including Ving, Saflok, and Onity* Experience with digital signage vendors including Fourwinds and Janus* Ability to work flexible days/hours - some on-call duty required.EEO/VET/DISABLED
