Here s the skinny:

This position is for our commissary kitchen in Maspeth Queens, parking is available (if you schedule an interview we will give you the exact address).
You will be role model for other team members and ambassador for Ole & Steen, reflecting its unique culture, positive attitude and excellent standards at all times.
Must Haves:
2 years cooking experience
Knife skills
Ability to Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties
Organization skills
Undertake basic cooking duties such as cutting mirepoix, making stocks and soups, saut ing, grilling, searing, braising, making vinaigrettes and sauces, cleaning veg,
Able to lift 50lbs
Clean as you go
Follow directions
Follow NYC DOH Standards
STANDARDS AND COMPLIANCE yes there are a few rules to follow
Follow all laid down operating procedures and standards for all duties
Be professionally groomed at all times according to the Ole & Steen staff handbook
Maintain superb cleanliness and hygiene in all work areas
Working with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure food safety is practiced and executed daily
Scheduled attendance is followed to the minute. Our mantra is early is on time and on time is late but if you are a team player you get it ?
Last, but not least HAVE FUN! This is a standard we need you to follow daily.
