JOB SUMMARY: Repairs 24 hour production equipment in a timely manner. Maintains and manages the plants compressed air, water and fire systems. Produces machine parts, tools and gauges to extremely close tolerances.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Performs assembly and bench jobs related to newly designed machines or equipment and overhauls of existing equipment.

On assembly work, performs necessary work to apply improvements recommended such as bearings, blocks, supports and operating adjustments.

Involved in the diagnosis and/or repair of complex machines and equipment. Makes own determinations of the nature of the repair and best method to expedite.

Manufactures necessary parts that are available for replacement to maintain continuity of production.

Maintains the ability to setup and/or operate milling machine, drill press, lathe and grinding equipment.

Completes and maintains appropriate TPM / Maintenance Records / Documents.

Maintains good housekeeping and 5S.

Observes all safety rules and OSHA regulations and performs job in a safe manner.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOP, WI, Forms, Flowcharts, etc.)

Supports Corning Pharmaceutical Glass activities

Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None required.
