Warehouse Order Expeditor



Compensation: $35,000 - $40,000 per year

Supports warehouse management, customer service department and interfaces with warehouse staff on daily transfer orders and logistical issues surrounding customer orders by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Daily sorts out transfer orders by dates, shipping priority, and major account status for all divisions.
  • Handles rush list and priority orders and communicates with warehouse management, customer service and warehouse staff.
  • Expedites customer orders to ensure on-time delivery; liaison with customer service to monitor customer orders to ensure accuracy and coordination of order issue resolutions.
  • Utilizing SAP, manages transfer orders, back orders, cancels transfer orders and delivery orders.
  • Puts returns back into inventory when received from customers both in physical warehouse pick location and in SAP. Handles stock movements (receiving and transfers).
  • Communicates with Customer Service for Racquet Sports with the exception of the EDI accounts with regard to customer transfer orders and troubleshoots transfer orders and shipping issues.
  • Communicates with and responds to inquiries from credit department, finance department and sales and marketing departments and outside sales force.
  • Assists with administrative office responsibilities ie opening mail, coping invoices, filing.
  • Print bar codes / print price labels for shipments if needed
  • Order supplies and schedule services for the distribution center.
  • Back-up to receiving department (on as needed basis).
  • Handles other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma; Associates Degree preferred and minimum three years related relevant training in warehouse environment/customer service/distribution center.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, receiving, warehousing, and material handling operations, methods and practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills; problem-solving ability; some technical knowledge of all product lines; data entry skills; organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

REASONING ABILITY
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
  • Advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, ms word, excel and a minimum of three years solid knowledge of SAP operating system.
