Cash Application Specialist

As a Cash Application Specialist with Community, you will:
* The Cash Poster is mainly responsible for the accurate and timely posting of all insurance /patient payments and contractual adjustments.
* Process and post all refund checks.
* Maintain open communication with the Billing Department to ensure adjustments are handled in a timely basis.
* Assist in running end of month reports.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and occasional changes in direction.
* Participate in intradepartmental and inter departmental meetings, as requested.
* Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
One year of data entry experience preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of medical insurance products, medical terminology and third party payers including claim submission process preferred. Must possess good communication and people skills. Must have a professional demeanor, and be detailed and goal oriented. Be organized and neat in person and habits. Must have the ability to work in a team office environment.
