Students in Washington State need your help! More than half of low-income students are struggling to keep up with their peers in academics, and many are at risk of not reaching high school or graduating on time. As a Washington Service Corps member serving in literacy/math tutoring or mentoring positions in high-need K-12 schools, you can help set them on a path to engaged learning and academic success. Considering a career in teaching? Serving in one of our education projects gives you hands-on experience to put on your resume! Washington Service Corps is one of the longest-running AmeriCorps programs in the nation, with over 700 members serving each year in economic opportunity, education, environment, public health and more. Many of our alums go on to careers in public education, social services and the non-profit sector. 10-month service terms start September 1, 2019. You can make a difference!
