Major Purpose of Position: Manage relationships with individual donors, including cultivation and solicitations, and manage donor information system.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Works collaboratively with Director of Development to:
Manage Individual Solicitation and Cultivation Efforts
Develop strategy and annual calendar of mailings and solicitations
Create mail and email messages and packages, including letter writing, response forms, envelopes, etc.
Research and test new ideas for increasing outreach to, and income from, Riverfront Recapture s individual supporters
Organize special campaigns within annual giving, such as those for board-solicited individuals and rowing campaigns
Create acknowledgment letters
Produce and mail acknowledgments in a timely fashion
Work with mailing house when needed to ensure large mailings are completed accurately, on time and at reasonable cost
Create additional communications with donors, including newsletters and updates
Handle printing, collating, stuffing and mailing for solicitations not done at mail house
Attend Riverfront Recapture events and programs as needed to cultivate donors
Maintain constituent relations/development database
Perform department data and gift entry
Update and add records as needed to the database
Manage online giving forms and messages
Work with fundraising software vendor and consultant to solve problems
Produce reports and lists as needed for the department, including recognition lists
Major and Endowment Gifts
Provide support to major fundraising efforts, including Marfuggi Parks Fund campaign
Manage mailings, as needed, for such efforts
Work with volunteers in promoting ticket sales to fundraising events
Create mailing lists
Work with mailing house to ensure save the date cards and invitation mailings are completely accurately, on time and at a reasonable cost
Prepare acknowledgments for fundraising event contributions and ticket purchases
Track RSVPs and maintain registration list
Oversee registration process on night of event(s)
Cultivate donors at event(s)
While this job description is intended to capture the duties and responsibilities of the position, the supervisor has the right to assign other duties as necessary. Riverfront staff are asked to work at several large public events annually.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Bachelors degree
Experience: two to-three years of successful fundraising experience in a non-profit organization
Skills: Familiarity with development programs and functions. Must possess excellent organizational and oral/written communications skills, be team-oriented, and have the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. Must be able to address multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. Writing and communications experience preferred. Also requires: ability to analyze financial and statistical data; working knowledge of word processing, database management and report generation.
