In late 1995, a customer asked FMI to fill bottles with massage oil. The customer was having trouble finding a reliable, high quality source to fill a small quantity of bottles (1,000 units of four fragrances). Even though we did not have any bottle filling equipment at the time, the customer knew that if we made a commitment to do the job, she would receive the bottles on time. FMI accepted the order, filled, labeled, and packed the bottles by hand and shipped them back to the customer within 10 days. The customer was amazed and asked us if we could make shampoos and lotions for her company. This was the beginning of what is now our focus: manufacturing and filling a wide range of products in containers from 0.5 ml to 1 gallon.
