FACILITY OPERATIONS (SE-PHYP-IUSEA)
The Facility Operations department exists to serve students, faculty, and staff by maintaining an environment conducive to learning and efficient operations. Department offices are located in the Service Building at the north end of the campus.
Facility Operations is dedicated to keeping the physical structures and grounds of the University well maintained and attractive, with its goal to provide each student, faculty, and staff member a safe, pleasant, and functional environment.

Enhance the appearance of IUS by providing and maintaining a clean and safe learning and working environment. Tasks include, but are not limited to: sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors; dusting, polishing, and moving furniture; operating vacuum cleaner, shampooer, and buffer; cleaning restrooms; washing walls, windows, and writable wall surfaces.
Professionalism/Work Ethic: Demonstrates personal accountability and effective work habits to maintain assigned areas and execute assigned duties by end of each shift.
Teamwork/Collaboration: Assists other custodial co-workers, staff members, and faculty as needed to maintain a clean working environment and to address immediate issues that arise.
Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Working Conditions / Demands
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. Average mobility needed. Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, carry, push, pull, handle, use fingers, see, climb a ladder, and work in awkward positions. Unpleasant working conditions are: contact with hazardous materials, unpleasant odors, loud noise, vibrations, hot and cold temperatures.

20 hours per week - morning and evening shifts.
