Job Summary

Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional guest experience by taking orders; making recommendations when appropriate, processing payments, and serving baked goods or beverages to customers at the counter. Also perform other duties in the areas of bakery and final order preparation including, preparing beverages and finishing touches on baked good items.

Activities & Responsibilities

Primary

o Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Eileen s Bakery.

o Serve baked goods, and beverages to guests.

o Punch in Order to POS and accept payment or make change.

o Prepare and package items, according to standard portion sizes and package in proper box or container.

o Perform cleaning duties such as clearing tables, counters, outdoor benches, and display case.

o Balance receipts and payments in cash registers as per opening/shift change/closing procedures.

o Prepare delivery and pick up orders in properly identified bags.

o Continuously keep track of items that are running low and replenish a.s.a.p.

o Replenish coffee station items; napkins; and menus according to stock lists.

o Replenish boxes, labels, bags, string, wraps, and all packaging products in proper place.

o Brew coffee and tea, and fill air pot containers for coffee station (new procedure to follow).

o Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.

o Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests needs and support the operation of the bakery.

o Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

o Follows the Hospitality Guide Rules and Regulations guest service, vocabulary, uniforms, team work.

Supplemental

o Ask for help when the lines get too long.

o Bring in the Manager if there is a guest issue or complaint.

o Be aware of the Specials of the Day and 86 Items.

o Accept and sign for suppliers/deliveries and mail. Bring to the Manager s attention.

o Add toppings and garnishes and decorations to cakes, according to instructions.

o Take telephone orders if back office is not available.

o Handle cash drawers procedures with Manager (each shift)
