Spherion Staffing Services
The position is a critical part of the sales process with direct contact with customers and sales representatives in a fast paced environment. Position requires product knowledge and a desire to perform a multitude of tasks.
Process customer orders and inquires, including changes, corrections, expediting orders, releasing, cancellations, etc.
Ensure timely, accurate and complete order processing to best service customer.
Direct contact with customer is expected to facilitate order processing
Obtain & create price quotes for sales reps, including some sourcing and vendor communications.
Communicate with purchasing on lead-times and ETA's
Coordinate order flow with warehouse
Provide advance notice to warehouse for large orders so an accurate space count can be obtained
Note pallet counts on order for special orders based on feedback from purchasing.
Maintain, update and edit item and customer masters with pertinent information such as delivery times, pallet quantities, contacts, etc.
Process returns through issuing of CM Pickups
Expected to have a clear understanding of Returns Policy
Track and monitor inventory for Hold & Bill orders
Provide phone and front window coverage
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Excellent Communication Skills
Attention to Detail
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP programs
Develop Business Relationships
3 years of customer service experience and/or in sales support role
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Packaging supplies knowledge is a plus
