THE JOB / Account Trainee - Volunteer Coordinator AssistantEXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.We're looking for an engaging Volunteer Coordinator Trainee to help Tournament and event staff with day-to-day operations of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G; held June 15 - 21, 2020. Join our team and be a part of why our volunteers look forward to returning year after year.As the Volunteer Coordinator Trainee, you will be responsible for the execution and management of the #NWAChampionship volunteer program. You'll join a driven and dynamic team of individuals who are passionate about the mantra "Every Experience Matters" and serve as the main contact for 750 volunteers who are to key to ensuring that our event is run flawlessly. Our model is to create and produce successful, sustainable events by merging sports, entertainment, culinary and arts with philanthropy in markets that recognize the importance of cultural enhancements in the development of the quality of life in its community.THE WORK YOU'LL DO* Manage recruitment and coordination of volunteers as well as the online volunteer database for scheduling management and communication plans* Plan and execute Volunteer Uniform Distribution event* During tournament week, oversee Volunteer Headquarters set up, including food and beverage, volunteer services and ensure volunteers are transported (if needed) to their respective on-course posts* Respond to general event inquiries (dates, event schedule, ticket prices etc.)* Carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision, including coordinating and implementing projectsTHE BIGGER TEAM YOU'LL JOINWhere others see complexity, we see possibility.Octagon is the global sports, entertainment and experiential marketing arm of the Interpublic Group.
