Position Description

Emtec is looking for a talented and dedicated Deskside Support Technician to join our team on-site at our client s location providing user support for hardware and software deployments. This position is fulltime 5 day per week, 8 hours each day. Hours are typically 9 am - 5 pm but must have flexibility to be available between the hours of 7 am to 7 pm. Overtime may be required from time to time.

Responsibilities to include:
  • Supporting manufacturing equipment including sensors, actuators, scales, conveyors, rollers, automated inventory storage systems
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends, early mornings and late nights
Location: New York City, 10017

Must Have Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience in desk-side support (L1 and/or L2) including the following:
    • hands-on supporting Window 7 and 10
    • Microsoft office as well as office 365 knowledge
    • 3+ years working with Active Directory
    • 3+ years networking experience
    • Experience in large corporate environments
  • Some experience with VMware as this is a VDI environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills are mandatory
Preferred Skills:
  • Certifications: MCP, A+, Network+, Server+
Professional Skills:
  • Must be highly motivated and well organized
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Must produce a positive self-image
  • Must be able to work independently as well as working well with a team
