Developmental Therapy Associate (DTA) CT Birth to Three Program

May also be classified as Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Benchmark Human Services, a national leader committed to providing quality services to individuals with disabilities, is hiring! We are actively seeking applicants for a variety of positions to serve in our Connecticut locations.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide direct behavioral supports to children in the CT Birth to Three Program. Provides direct services as assigned. Must be willing to flex schedule according to the child s/family needs.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with all Federal and State regulations, including those outlined in the Connecticut Birth to Three Program Regulations.

  • Participate in the IFSP development and implementation.

  • Monitor child outcomes as a member of the transdisciplinary team.

  • Provide early intervention supports to families for the benefit of the child.

  • Provides data and input as needed.

  • May update Curriculum-based tool with family as of Early Intervention Treatment Services.

  • May function independently, under regular supervision by a professionally licensed or certified personnel.

  • Ensure at least one hour of supervision per month.

  • Participates as a member of the team that meets at least monthly to receive support and to address child and family outcomes.

  • Ensure that all progress notes are countersigned by a supervisor who is licensed or certified.

  • Maintain consistent communication and seek input from other team members. Interact with other support staff and administration to ensure continuity and coordination of the IFSP.

  • Participate in monthly team meetings as required.

  • Participate in Birth to Three sponsored trainings, meetings and learning opportunities as appropriate.

  • Actively participate in early intervention related committees/workgroups.

  • Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all staff and children/families we serve.

  • Reports to work as scheduled.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Connecticut driver s license.

  • Bachelor Degree in human service field or unrelated field with Registered Behavioral Technician Credential (RBT)

  • RBT Credential from Behavior Analyst Certification Board

  • One year experience working with infants and toddlers.

  • Knowledgeable about best practices for service delivery in early intervention.

  • Demonstrates a commitment to Natural Learning Environment Practices.
